Software Development &
Engineering Internship
Work directly with our integration engineers building APIs, data pipelines, and microservices for enterprise clients.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement RESTful and event-driven APIs using industry-standard patterns
- Build and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch processing workloads
- Write clean, tested, and documented code in Python, Java, or React
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and architecture discussions
- Explore AI-assisted development tooling and automation workflows
- Develop features and fixes under guidance using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Debug and test code, write unit tests, and help improve code quality.
Who You Are
- Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree
- Solid foundation in at least one programming language (Python, Java, C#, or similar)
- Comfortable with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
- Curious about distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, or API design
- Strong problem-solving skills and an eagerness to learn in a fast-moving team
- Exposure to or interest in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) — even basic familiarity is a plus

Internship
Drive growth by helping enterprise clients discover how WeQbit can transform their technology stack.
What You'll Do
- Engage with potential and existing customers through calls, messages, and email
- Follow up on inquiries, leads, and quotations to support conversion
- Coordinate daily sales activities and support the sales process
- Prepare quotations, invoices, and sales documentation
- Track customer interactions and maintain accurate records
- Follow up on pending orders, payments, and delivery updates
- Support sales promotions and basic marketing activities
- Prepare simple sales updates and activity reports
Who You Are
- Female candidates preferred
- Minimum G.C.E. A/L qualification (or equivalent)
- Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or related field will be an added advantage
- Good communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil
- Computer literacy (MS Office and email)
- Experience in sales, customer handling, or follow-up roles will be an advantage
- Confident in speaking with customers and handling inquiries
- Positive attitude with a pleasant and energetic personality
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and take ownership in a startup environment
